When to clear a code, and when not to

Once you have read and understood a code, you can clear it. Only do so after you have either fixed the fault or confirmed it was a one-off (such as a code set while refuelling). To clear codes, select "Erase" or "Clear Codes" on your tool with the ignition on and engine off.
